~ Nail Term Thursday ~ NAIL FUNGUS ~

Hello Everyone :) Today we are going to be discussing the different types of Nail Fungus and what to do to avoid it. Hope it is very informative for you. One thing that i forgot to put in is that when you go to a salon, you need to make sure that all of there utensils have been sterilized. It is ok to ask them ! It is your right as a customer to ask. You can also ask to see where they sterilize everything at. A lot of salons do not handle their equipment properly and it is a pretty good place to get a fungus. Also, when you go to get your pedicure, you are allowed to ask them to clean out the pedicure bowl in front of you, that way you know it is done properly !!!! And, if you like, you can bring in your own clippers and files too. That way you know that they are clean and that no one else has used them. If the place that you go to has a problem with you asking questions and bringing in your own utensils then it probably is a good idea to go somewhere else or just do it yourself. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL WILL NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS. Also, i mention in here to wear slippers… just make sure they r clean and fully dry ! You do not want them wet or moist because this could end up being a breeding ground for bacteria…. NOT GOOD !!!! Also, as soon as you come in from being anywhere and you have had ur feet in your shoes whether you have had socks on or not, wash your feet and thoroughly dry them. EWWW!! Gross!! lol

@GettingNailed Exactly ! These photo’s r worst case scenarios, but if you don’t take care of your nails and yourself this could happen. It’s gross i know :0( u hit the nail right on the head :0)

@LipRouge LOL i’m sorry, i changed the video still, but i only have 3 options… hopefully this one is a little better. It should be just all black lol.

Thanks for such a DISGUSTING still to use as this video’s thumbnail. You can’t even PREPARE us that way - LOL. I looked in my subscriptions box and had to hold back my dry heaves!

Another BIG reason NOT to go to cheap ass half-rate nail shops!!! The ones I’ve been in the past, DO NOT clear their files, etc. properly. I will NEVER step my foot in one again. Lastly, another reason why if one is going to do their own acrylic/gel work, you REALLY need to do deep research on the subject, and not just here on YT!!!

@TheNailDutchess Thank you Dutchess. : )

@TheNailDutchess See, this is the very thing I’ve been trying to caution everyone about. Who trusts their medical treatment to some invalidated hogwash they read on the internet? Do these people have any idea how dangerous it is playing doctor with their health? It’s even worse when they post such garbage in a public place, and encourage other low-intellects to do the same. I hope your video—as gross as it is—will wise people up.

@LadyNailz Your comments are nicely stated :0) Thanks.

@babymomo00 Thanks Hun :0)

@linda165 :0)

To understand prevention, you must first understand cause. Many people confuse bacteria and fungus, and they are NOT the same. Bacterium is a single celled organism and multiplies (asexually) by cell division. The main species of which are involved in things like putrefaction, fermentation, and of course—infectious diseases. Fungus, can be single celled or nucleus, and survive by decomposing and absorbing living matter. Mushrooms, molds and yeasts, and of course—open wounds on cuticles.

There is a reason why you need qualifications to be in this line of work. Would you trust your brain surgeon to operate on you knowing he only knew brain surgery from what he read on a web site or saw in a video? Well, some might since they’re just as careless with their nails. But no sane person would. Finger nails, ya know those constant open doorways in which the garbage like free radicals, bacteria, and cheap nail care products enter our body and bloodstream. Yeah, the same.

The nail industry is a pricy business to be in. The qualification is expensive, the products are expensive, and those who think they can “get by” with the no-label toxic waste they’re buying on eBay and putting on their nails! Then watch this video again and have a look at your future. It’s not a scare tactic, its reality. Anyone who’s going to care for their health based on an amateur video they saw on the internet, will suffer the consequences for their ignorance. You nails are in your hands.

Very informative,..You did a great job.

See, this is what happens when you watch amateur YouTube videos on nail care posted by those who do NOT know what the hell they’re talking about. DO NOT be fooled! Just because someone has long natural finger nails doesn’t make them an authority on how to care for them. Finger nails are hereditary, so either they’ll grow or they won’t. And no cheap drug store products, or anyone here on YouTube is going to change that!

Scary, but def an eye opener! Thanks!

@cassey05 you have to be careful with that, it may not work all the time, and it could come back. That’s why it is important to see your doctor.

i have read a blog before that they used 1 part lysterine and 1 part white vinegar to cure nail fungus and it worked!

@hunbun914 some are at the final stage , some are not, either way, if you get a fungus the best thing you can do for yourself is to get medical attention right away. You will need antibiotics and meds. It’s never to late to start treatment. Some people are just so embarrassed by it that they wont even seek the medical attention that they need and therefore they can end up spreading it around 0.o And harming themselves too health wise.

ohhh, informative while scary/ugly
are those pics like at the final stage of each type of disease? like it’s to the point of being too late to cure?

@LiverpoolLashes EEK is right !
